What Is Crisalix 3D Breast Imaging?

Crisalix is a 3D simulation technology used by plastic surgeons to help patients visualize possible outcomes. It turns standard photos into a three-dimensional model of your own chest and torso. Dr. Leela then uses that model to simulate the changes you are considering, so you can turn the image and see yourself from every angle.

Looking at other patients' before and after photos is helpful, but every body is different. A simulation based on your own anatomy gives you and Dr. Leela a shared picture to work from. That makes it easier to describe what you want, compare implant options, and understand what is realistic for your frame.

How 3D Imaging Works

Getting started takes three steps:

  1. Create your account. Use the Crisalix button on this page to sign up for Dr. Leela's secure 3D imaging portal. It takes a couple of minutes.
  2. Share your photos. Your 3D model is created from three standard photos. You can upload them through the portal, or our team can take them for you in the office.
  3. Review with Dr. Leela. At your consultation, Dr. Leela walks you through your simulation, adjusts it with you, and talks through your options. You can revisit your images afterward from your phone or computer.

Why Patients Find 3D Imaging Helpful

  • You see your own anatomy - The simulation starts from your photos, so the preview reflects your proportions and starting point.
  • You can compare options - View different implant sizes and shapes side by side before choosing a direction.
  • Communication gets easier - Pointing to an image is often clearer than describing a size or shape in words.
  • You can take your time - Review your simulation at home and share it with someone whose opinion you trust.
  • Your plan is tailored to you - Dr. Leela uses the simulation alongside your exam and your goals to shape a personalized surgical plan.

Frequently Asked Questions About 3D Breast Imaging

What is Crisalix?

Crisalix is a 3D imaging technology that creates a three-dimensional model of your body from standard photos. Your surgeon uses the model to simulate the potential results of breast surgery so you can preview them before your procedure.

How realistic is a Crisalix breast simulation?

The simulation is based on your own photos and measurements, so it offers a helpful preview of what a procedure may achieve. It is a planning and communication tool and not a guarantee. Actual results vary with anatomy, healing, and other individual factors.

Can I compare different implant sizes?

Yes. One of the most useful parts of 3D imaging is seeing different implant sizes, shapes, and profiles on your own frame, so you can compare them before deciding with Dr. Leela.

Can I use 3D imaging if I am considering Preservé® by Motiva®?

Yes. 3D imaging can help you preview how Motiva® implant options may look on you. Dr. Leela will discuss whether Preservé® is right for you during your consultation.

What photos do I need?

Your 3D model is created from three standard photos. You will receive instructions for taking them when you create your account, or our team can take them for you in the office.

Can I view my simulation at home?

Yes. Once your simulation is ready, you can sign in to your account from your phone or computer to view it again whenever you like.

Do I still need an in-person consultation?

Yes. 3D imaging supports your consultation but does not replace it. Dr. Leela needs to examine you, review your health history, and discuss your goals before recommending a surgical plan.

A 3D simulation is a visual guide to support your conversation with Dr. Leela. It is not a guarantee of surgical results. Actual outcomes depend on your anatomy, tissue quality, healing, and other individual factors. This page is intended for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice.
