Our bodies tell a story — of where we’ve been, what we’ve gone through, and how we’ve changed over time. Sometimes, life events leave markings on our body that don’t reflect how we want to remember our story. Pregnancy, for instance, brings a child but can forever change the firmness of your abdomen. Weight changes also commonly affect the waistline in unflattering ways. If your abdomen doesn’t reflect how you feel inside, a tummy tuck can help restore both form and confidence. This isn’t just about a flatter belly; it’s about redefining your shape, feeling empowered, and telling your life story the way YOU want it to be told.

You may be a good candidate for tummy tuck surgery if you:
A tummy tuck can dramatically improve core contour and muscle tone for the right candidate. During our consultation, I’ll design a personalized treatment plan based on your goals and anatomy to restore your confidence and comfort.
A tummy tuck offers both aesthetic and functional improvements, especially for those who’ve experienced changes in the abdominal area due to pregnancy, weight loss, or aging. Some of the most meaningful benefits include:
Abdominoplasty delivers more than simple refinement of the waistline — it can help restore core strength, physical comfort, and confidence in your body. During our consultation, I’ll create a customized surgical plan that supports your lifestyle and helps you feel truly at ease in your skin.
A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin from the abdomen and tightens the abdominal wall muscles. It also commonly removes excess fat from the waist area as well as stretch marks located on the lower abdomen. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and typically takes 2 to 3 hours, depending on the extent of correction needed.
I use a low, discreet incision placed just above the pubic area so that it may be hidden beneath most underwear and swimwear. Through this incision, I remove excess skin, repair any separated abdominal muscles, and contour the waistline for a smoother, firmer figure.
There are different types of tummy tucks, and I’ll recommend the approach that best suits your needs:
Every surgical decision from incision placement to muscle repair is made with care, precision, and your unique anatomy in mind.
Recovery after a tummy tuck requires rest, patience, and guided care. Most patients return home the same day or the next day, depending on the complexity of the surgery. During the first week, it’s normal to experience swelling, tightness, and moderate discomfort, all of which can be managed with medication and support garments. Light activity and short walks are encouraged within a few days after surgery.
You’ll wear a compression garment for several weeks to minimize swelling and support healing. Depending on your job, you’ll need to take about 10 to 14 days off work. Most patients are ready to resume normal daily activities after 2 to 3 weeks, but strenuous activity and core workouts should be avoided for 6 to 12 weeks.
I’ll check in with you frequently during your recovery to ensure you’re healing well and getting the support you need.
A tummy tuck is not a weight loss procedure. Ideal candidates for this procedure are already at or near their goal weight. The surgery is designed to contour the abdomen by removing excess skin and fat and tightening the underlying muscles.
For both the full and mini tummy tuck, the incision is placed low on the abdomen — below the bikini line to minimize visibility. For the extended tummy tuck, the incision will need to wrap around the hip in order to achieve the desired contour. With time, proper care, and (in some cases) scar treatments, most patients find the scar fades significantly.
Yes. Many patients choose to combine a tummy tuck with liposuction and/or breast surgery as part of a Mommy Makeover. We’ll discuss all of your options during your consultation.
With a healthy lifestyle and stable body weight, tummy tuck results are long lasting. While natural aging continues, most patients enjoy their improved abdominal contour for many years.
You’ll notice a flatter abdomen right away after surgery, but postoperative swelling takes time to fully resolve. Most patients begin to see more refined results around 6 to 8 weeks, with the final results settling in by 3 to 6 months.
