Where artistry meets precision. Powered by FemTech.
At Leela Mundra MD, we offer Motiva Implants®, the latest breast implants to receive FDA approval in the United States. Motiva® by Establishment Labs® has been pioneering a revolution in FemTech for more than two decades in over 86 countries worldwide.
Motiva® breast implants represent the next generation of implant technology - engineered to feel, move, and age more like natural breast tissue while prioritizing safety, comfort, and customization. Motiva implants combine cutting-edge materials with thoughtful design, backed by over 14 years of clinical data across millions of devices globally
Motiva® offers 2 different implant styles, each available in 3 projection levels: Mini, Demi, and Full.
Combines the SmoothSilk® surface with ProgressiveGel PLUS®, creating increased upper pole fullness and softness. The shape maintains its round, full form regardless of whether you're standing or lying down - ideal for patients seeking defined upper pole projection.
Combines the SmoothSilk® surface with ProgressiveGel ULTIMA® to realistically mimic the look, feel, and movement of natural breast tissue. Ergonomix® implants are unique to the implant market - they adapt shape as your body changes positions, showcasing a round shape when lying down and a more natural teardrop shape when standing. This breakthrough implant is designed to be inserted through a small incision to minimize scarring.
What sets Motiva® apart is a suite of proprietary safety and performance innovations:
Motiva's nano-textured surface is engineered to minimize the body's inflammatory foreign body response, reducing the risk of capsular contracture. Unlike macro-textured implants, the SmoothSilk® surface has been associated with a lower risk of Breast Implant-Associated Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (BIA-ALCL) in published literature.
A proprietary indicator layer built directly into the implant shell. BluSeal® turns yellow if the outer silicone barrier is compromised during manufacturing - any implant that doesn't pass this quality check never leaves the facility. This adds a critical layer of protection against undetected gel bleed.
The seamlessly integrated, single-piece shell construction improves implant flexibility and strength, enabling insertion through smaller incisions and reducing stress points that can lead to rupture over time.
Motiva's gel formulations are engineered for cohesion and responsiveness. ProgressiveGel PLUS® (Round) offers a firmer, more defined shape, while ProgressiveGel ULTIMA® (Ergonomix®) flows naturally with body movement for the most lifelike result available.
Preservé® is part of the Motiva® family of technologies. It is a minimally invasive breast augmentation technique made possible by patented Motiva® instruments, designed specifically to preserve your natural breast tissue, nipple sensation, and chest muscles.
Performed through a small 2–3 cm incision using the Motiva® SmoothSilk Ergonomix® implant, Preservé® is best suited for patients considering a first-time augmentation, or augmentation combined with a lift. Dr. Leela is among the few surgeons certified to offer Preservé® - currently the only provider offering this technique exclusively in the Denver area. Learn more about Preservé® by Motiva® and find out if you're a candidate.

Motiva® implants differ from conventional options in three key ways: (1) the SmoothSilk® nanotextured surface, which is associated with lower rates of capsular contracture and a reduced BIA-ALCL risk compared to macro-textured implants; (2) ProgressiveGel® technology for more natural movement and feel; and (3) the TrueMonobloc® shell design, which allows smaller incisions and improved durability. Additionally, the BluSeal® barrier layer provides a quality-assurance check not found in other implants.
Yes. Motiva® SmoothSilk® silicone gel-filled breast implants received FDA approval in 2023 for primary breast augmentation and revisional procedures in adults 22 years of age or older. Prior to U.S. approval, Motiva® implants were used in over 86 countries for more than 14 years.
The key difference is how they behave with body movement. The Round implant maintains its circular shape in all positions, providing consistent upper pole fullness - a popular choice for patients seeking more defined projection. The Ergonomix® implant uses a more fluid gel that responds to gravity: appearing round when lying down and taking on a natural teardrop shape when upright. Many patients describe the Ergonomix® as the most anatomically natural option available.
Preservé® is a minimally invasive augmentation technique using specialized Motiva® instruments and the Ergonomix® implant, performed through a small 2–3 cm incision. It is designed to minimize disruption to breast tissue, nerves, and muscle. Ideal candidates are patients pursuing first-time augmentation with good skin elasticity. It can also be combined with a lift in select cases. Dr. Leela is among the few certified Preservé® providers in the country - schedule a consultation to find out if you qualify.
Breast augmentation with implants does not typically interfere with breastfeeding, and Motiva® implants are no exception. However, outcomes can vary depending on incision placement, implant position, and individual anatomy. If breastfeeding is a priority for you, please discuss this with Dr. Leela during your consultation so your surgical plan can be optimized accordingly.
Most patients return to light daily activity within 3–5 days. Strenuous exercise and heavy lifting are generally restricted for 4–6 weeks. Swelling and implant "settling" continue for several months, with final results typically visible by 3–6 months. Dr. Leela and her team will provide detailed post-operative instructions and are available throughout your recovery.
Yes. Establishment Labs offers the MotivaMaestro™ Patient Warranty Program, which provides coverage for implant rupture and capsular contracture under qualifying conditions. Details of the warranty - including terms, duration, and what is covered - will be reviewed with you at your consultation and in your surgical paperwork.
The best implant is the one that fits your anatomy, lifestyle, and aesthetic goals - and that determination requires an in-person consultation. Dr. Leela takes a thorough, unhurried approach to each consultation, reviewing your goals, examining your tissue characteristics, and walking you through all available implant options (including Sientra® and Natrelle® in addition to Motiva®) so you can make an informed, confident decision.
